Conditions
Reservations and Deposits
Reservations made prior to January 1st, require a 20% deposit, then a following deposit of 40% by January 31st, and the final balance due on June 1st. Reservations made after January 1st, require three (3) equal payments as follows: on the day of reservation, by April 1st, and the balance due on June 1st. Should payments not be submitted within the intervals outlined above, Safari Nordik has the right to cancel the booking of the trip or update its pricing to the published fare. All bookings made after May 1st, must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Prices are in effect at publication date; however, they are subject to change without further notice depending on the increases applied by the service providers.
Should an increase come into effect after confirmation of a reservation, the client has the right to cancel the booking without cost or penalty, provided the cancellation is made within 10 days of the price increase notice. However, if the increase is less than 5% or if airline servicing Kuujjuaq increases its price after the first of June the option of cancelling the trip will no longer be available.
Cancellation Policy
Should you decide to cancel your reservation, please notify us immediately! The cancellation costs are as follows: 30% of the package price is non-refundable under all circumstances. No refund is made less than 60 days prior to beginning of our hunting season. A replacement is accepted at no additional cost, except in the case when a non-refundable airline ticket to Montreal has been purchased. This ticket will be yours and will be valid as credit with the airline company for one year from the date of purchase.No refund will be paid by SAFARI NORDIK INC. for services provided but not used during the course of the trip, nor is the value or price of these services applicable against any other arrangement. We strongly suggest that you purchase cancellation insurance to cover personal injuries or family emergencies that may keep you from travelling on your dates since we will not refund past the 60 day period before the beginning of the hunting season.
Postponement Policy
Should you postpone your hunting trip to the following year these penalties are applicable: 10% penalty for a postponement made before 60 days prior to the hunting season; 1/3 penalty for a postponement made less than 60 days prior to departure.
Guarantee
Unless stated otherwise, Safari Nordik guarantees hunters an opportunity to at least (1) one mature bull or free return the following year from Montreal except for licenses. Please note that no refunds will be given to hunters on guarantee should they decide not to come back. We reserve the right to postpone your hunt to a better timeframe or to the following year in case of major disruptions in the migration. Should you decide to come on your dates after being given that option, our guarantee will be considered fulfilled.
Cancellation by Safari Nordik
Should Safari Nordik be forced to cancel your reservation, we will do our best to provide you with a reasonable alternative. If this is not deemed acceptable Safari Nordik will reimburse the total amount of the price submitted to that date.
Court Claims
Since all reservations with members of the World Outfitters Corporation originate in the province of Quebec, Canada), any disputes that may result in claims made against the outfitter, must be addressed to the Quebec court under Québec law rule.
Changes in your package
Since this document is published several months in advance, some of the details are subject to change. However, these are generally minor changes with a minimal effect on your outing and, whenever possible, we will undertake to provide you with advance warning.
Should a major change occur we will do everything within our power to provide you with an alternative package similar to your initial choice. You can either accept the new arrangements or cancel your prior arrangements within 10 days following our notice. In the latter case, Safari Nordik will reimburse all money submitted to that date. This reimbursement constitutes a final and complete settlement of all claims.
Responsibilities
The role of the outfitter is to act as an intermediary between travelers and the organizations providing the required services (transport companies, bush planes, etc.). Since we cannot exercise direct control over these organizations, The Outfitter accepts no responsibility for their failure to provide the services described nor do we accept any responsibility for expenses incurred due to delay or failure by the said organizations to provide these services. Without affecting the generalization of the above conditions, Safari Nordik is furthermore not responsible for damages due to loss, damages, sickness, injury, delays, anxiety, expense or inconvenience arising from fault, negligence or omission on the part of the organizations offering the services (carriers, hotels, etc.) such as but without limitation to:
- Sickness, theft, strikes, mechanical breakdown, quarantine, government constraints, weather conditions and all other conditions beyond our control;
- The fault of the passenger to obtain and/or carry required travel documents;
- The passenger's late arrival at the airport, no matter what the cause on the day of departure;
- Loss of possessions, loss of goods, and theft;
- Personal injury or death.
Furthermore, Safari Nordik is not responsible for additional costs which may result from the above and clients renounce all claims against Safari Nordik arising from the above conditions.
Note
In view of the above, all persons who reserve with Safari Nordik completely accept, by implication, all conditions as described in this document.
